I'm not alone!!
I have been having the symptoms of perimenopause for about 6 months now and never put two and two together until I read the list of symptoms on your website. I have had irregular menstrual cycles for quite some time. I keep close tabs on them just so I will know when to expect my period each month. I don't like for it to just spring up all of a sudden. Well, this month so far I am "late." The first thing that popped into mine and my husband's and my mind was, "could I be pregnant?" That's impossible, I had my tubes tied about 5 years ago. Besides, it would have to be immaculate conception because my libido is zilch. My husband and I have sex about 3-4 times a month. And at that, it is only to satisfy him. We have busy schedules like every family does so I just played that off to both of us being tired. Not to mention the vaginal dryness. I'm only 40. This happens to older women. After reading the website though, I realize that I am experiencing a lot of the symptoms listed. Hair loss, weight gain (and I am a very healthy eater, I work for a Cardiologist for heaven's sake), trouble sleeping, irregular cycles, headaches, night sweats, mood swings, depression, irritability. It all makes sense to me now. I think I'll make an appt with my ob/gyn soon. Thank you for making it all too clear for me. I am not alone. Jennifer
