I am a doctor and can't fix myself!

Well, here it is. I am a doctor, and I can’t fix myself! I was just last week diagnosed with premature menopause and have been told that I cannot have my own biological children. I am in a grief phase at the moment but feel confident that I will be able to get on with my life, albeit in a different way than I had planned.

I am in a new relationship and the stress this has caused is boundless. I stopped the pill 6 mths ago and out came the asexual monster!! It would be nice for him to know me as the strong, capable, funny woman that I was and I am hoping that HRT will help this.

I am not self centred enough to think that my genes need to be passed on but I am extremely maternal and this is a massive concept to be dealing with!

I am really happy for anyone else who is childless and dealing with premature menopause to contact me on my email -I think I would appreciate sharing it all with someone!
