Tubal ligation changed everything
| I have missed
the person I was before my surgery, the energy and the enthusiasm
I used to have for life. |
I can relate to pretty much all of the stories on this site. I had a
tubal ligation 5 years ago and immediately felt like a different person.
Not too soon after I started feeling lethargic and extremely fatigued,
along with low grade nausea, dizziness and fuzzy thinking.
These symptoms got worse and I found myself forgetting where I put things,
why I went into a room or even what I was saying mid-sentence. I have
even found my phone in the fridge and have no recollection of how it got
there.
At the same time I started feeling anxious all the time, I was never
a worrier but I started worrying about everything and was experiencing
panic attacks for the first time in my life. I have not been able to get
a good nights sleep in years, where previously I always bragged that I
could sleep through a tornado, I have come to dread 4:30 in the morning.
Oh and yes, a libido, what is that?
I have experienced pretty much all of the symptoms listed on this site.
I have missed the person I was before my surgery, the energy and the enthusiasm
I used to have for life. If I had known that having a tubal ligation would
accelerate and intensify perimenopause I would never have had it done.
If you know someone considering this procedure please share my story.
Thank you everyone for your stories it makes me feel more sane!
